Back in 1993 we were given 2 beautiful part Russian
Blue kittens. We named them Sam and Nicki,
they were adorable, smart and playful, with
the most beautiful nature of any cats that we had
owned. Unfortunately Sam passed away at the age of
12yrs and we were devastated, as was his brother
Nicki. We set about finding a pedigree Russian blue
and was lucky enough to come across a delightful
lady from
Tintola
Cattery, they bred our magical boy
Tintola
Evanokov, also known as Joey. Joey and Nicki
became great mates and we were back to a happy group
of felines and humans.
I then contacted another
breeder and made my 2nd adoption. Uki
Arkhangeliska
was born on the 6th January 2007.
Uki
Cattery gave us the most beautiful kitten
that we named Tatiana, which suits her as she is
such a little Russian lady. She has the most
magnificent temperament. Before we picked her up she
had been placed in the Top Ten kittens at the Gold
Coast Show.
In May 2007 Joey, Tatiana and I set off to our first
show on the
Central
Coast. Joey was
awarded 3 Challenge Certificates, Best of Breed,
Best in Section and in the Top Ten Section
– 1st in Altered Male.
Tatiana was awarded Reserve Supreme Exhibit, Best in
Section, Best of Breed and in the Top Ten Section –
2nd Entire Kitten.
We knew we had ‘Beautiful’ Russians and now people
who judged them confirmed it.
Our second girl came from
Tyana
Cattery and was born on 22 April 2007. We
called her
Tyana
Nina Borodina. A little ball of fluff arrived
at Sydney airport on a cold
windy day in winter. We arrived at the airport
equipped with hot packs and a warm bunny rug. To our
amazement she was cool and calm and had enjoyed her
first journey.
She made immediate friends with all our cats, and
Tatiana and Nina have been inseparable ever since.
Her first show was amazing as she took out multi
awards including Supreme Exhibit.
To complete our Russian family
Anou
Cattery bred for us our magnificent Anou
Ramius Marko. He was born on 2nd October 2007. He
was an instant hit and has grown into a magnificent
stud.
My eternal gratitude to Kay, Pam, Sally and Sharon,
the breeders of our foundation Russians and giving
us the opportunity to being slaves to this wonderful
breed.
When registering our Breeders Prefix we wanted to
honor the two part Russians who made us fall in love
with this magnificent breed … so by joining their
names we have;
